Apparently, there may be some QC issues with Nvidia’s new top-of-the-line RTX 2080 Ti. The reports on the Founder’s Edition is that they are crapping out on the first day, suffering from instability, and showing artifacts. It would be highly unusual for NVDA to have issues like these, but then again, it was unusual for them to release their “Ti” version so early on with their new architecture.
Below is a link to the story. Many assumed the priciest model was out of stock because of demand, but I wonder if the seeming lack of supply of this version is related to the failure issues. The lower-end versions are having no trouble staying stocked. Its possible Wall Street has picked up on this and that’s why we are seeing this nasty sell-off in the shares.
