NY City hotel rooms at record high average of $301/night

… problem is that 20% of the rooms are currently occupied by illegal immigrants and the homeless – that’s jacking up prices for paying customers. (NY City has a “right to shelter” law that is lacking in the West Coast homeless havens like San Francisco, Los Angeles, Portland and Seattle.)

The solution? If you’re planning a holiday in New York, find a way to have yourself declared homeless.

They would need to pay me to go to NYC. I’ve been there. Didn’t like it.

I love NYC, will not pay so much for a place to sleep, and so instead I simply book a room in New Jersey and take a train or subway across the Hudson. No problems.

Greater NYC is the most vibrant, electric, alive city in the world! I wish I had taken the opportunity to live in NYC when I was in my early 20’s.
