As we are living in interesting times, few things slips. As I am doing taxes, I had to pull some records from IBKR and suddenly noticed my 1 year performance is whopping very high %, i first thought that doesn’t feel correct, on checking I realized, the obliteration day had actually obliterated my portfolio and recovered all the losses and finished the year well ahead of Index. But the swing, and subsequent recovery all now a distinct memory, I feel nothing.
Someday I need to do a deep dive and prepare some charts and notes for me to study the risk profile of my account and also how not to panic.
The President is living up to my expectation of “volatility creator, volatility destroyer”…
