OT: Banana watch

FBI officials have complied with demands to provide the Justice Department with a list of thousands of employees who worked on investigations related to the January 6, 2021, US Capitol riot, according to people familiar with the situation. The demand has caused consternation among FBI employees who fear it is meant to amass a list of personnel for possible termination by the Trump administration.

Acting Deputy Attorney General Emil Bove, in a Friday memo with the subject line “Terminations,” had given FBI officials a noon deadline Tuesday to submit the names of thousands of agents and analysts. Bove previously ordered the firing of eight senior FBI officials, including those who oversaw cyber, national security and criminal investigations.

Hey, the US public voted for retribution, what’s the problem?

How many of those people actually voted for Trump? I am betting a lot.

There is also a proposal to shut the FBI down entirely.

The local diner owners who support mass deportation got a shock. On their FB page someone overnight ex customer or whoever falsely said arrests of illegals had happened in the diner.

My retort to the owner’s son who loves TI, “You will need to deal with this a dozen times”.

Now the owner understands the folly.

WASHINGTON – The White House said Mr Elon Musk, the billionaire leading US President Donald Trump’s government cost-cutting efforts, will determine if there are conflicts of interest between his work reviewing federal spending and his overlapping empire of six companies. “The President was already asked to answer this question this week,” said White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt at a briefing. “And he said, if Elon Musk comes across a conflict of interest with the contracts and the funding that Doge is overseeing, that Elon will excuse himself from those contracts, and he has again abided by all applicable laws.”

Trump and Musk do not want the FBI investigating all their violations of Rule of Law and the Constitution. Putin and Xi are happy to see all the chaos in the Western democracies and thus being less of a threat to them.

I think we all know this but apparently are willing to accept it.
Where are the protest marches?

What happens in other countries when this sort of thing happens?

Why let marches distract the public from the TI?

Let the TI run. The American public gets it now.

Just talk economics. The rest from Gay Rights to Black Lives MATTER are a given.

Just stay on topic…econ…TI’s weakest link.

Daddy’s little heir.

Remember how #41 restricted demonstrators to fenced in “free speech zones”, several city blocks away, and far from the view of TV cameras, at his appearances?

They have started in many places. Did you see the USAID protests in Washington D.C. yesterday?

Free speech, new style - access is for Claqueurs.

What will be the next step?

The White House is barring all Associated Press journalists from accessing spaces such as the Oval Office and Air Force One, a top White House official announced Friday, after the White House shut the AP out of the Oval Officeand a formal news conference earlier in the week. The decision to limit AP’s access stems from its decision not to recognize the Trump administration’s name change from Gulf of Mexico to Gulf of America on federal maps, websites and documents. Instead, the White House says it will open AP’s spot in the White House press pool to other reporters.

“The Associated Press continues to ignore the lawful geographic name change of the Gulf of America,” wrote White House deputy chief of staff Taylor Budowich. "This decision is not just divisive, but it also exposes the Associated Press’ commitment to misinformation.…

Reportedly, Mr Budowich kept a straight face during that last sentence.
