And, for something a little lighter, one of the most French sounding contemporary pieces around, on the Kordeen.

The orchestra version. Mireille Mathieu is best known for performing the piece, but she rolls her Rs too much for my taste. I like this woman’s performance better.

I am a victim of an accordion crime. I had an accordion in the back of my car and someone came along and broke the window and threw in another one.

Alrighty, it’s all your fault.

Thanks for that. Unexpected early morning laugh.

Truth be told, an accordion is a complete orchestra and very useful when one cannot afford a complete orchestra.

Lol. And threw in a banjo, too.

Alexander Sevastian was a profoundly musical musician. His T&F was staggeringly moving given the small dimensions of his instrument.

Definition of a gentleman: Someone who can play the accordion but doesn’t.

Pretty impressive. For an accordion.

Never saw an accordion keyboard like that.

The best single instrument version of that JSB tune that I’ve ever heard is linked below. Edson Lopes is flawless.

Add a fair bit of reverb to his performance, and you could fool a lot of people into thinking that was done on a pipe organ.
