The socialists can all get together, work hard, risk capital, start a company and give their employees a high wages. Too hard ? Thought so.
Instead socialists blame the people who innovate and move the society forward.

I did suggest that as a “me” problem.
I took the time to read the entire transcript of that video. That was one sentence out of 45 minutes from 4 years ago. And that’s what you’re going to hang your complaint on? Nothing newer? He couldn’t have changed his position over the last 4 years?

iirc, studies have shown that many “JCs” are sociopaths.
Hence the narratives put out by the 1% that some racial or religious minority is the problem, not the 1%, so we see pogroms.

Let me help on that.
I am a long time ardent Democratic Socialist (and Democrat on my expedient side), in 1973 being one of the signatory founders of the Democratic Socialist Organizing Committee [here is a link for the historically curious: Democratic Socialist Organizing Committee - Wikipedia], one of the two progenitor groups that merged to found the Democratic Socialists of America in 1982. I did not attend the merger in 1982 because I was too busy being a capitalist:
- doing consulting work in complex systems analysis;
- acquiring multiple Oil/Gas working interests when prices were still absurdly low;
- managing/owning Liberation Publications Inc, the largest gay/lesbian business in world history up to that time, in 1982 with 160 employees;
- tutoring mathematics and “small business management” at Citrus House, a shelter for “thrown away” homeless gay/lesbian kids managed by the Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Community Center [https://lalgbtcenter.org/services/youth-services/].
For a clear perspective, consider the fact that for 200 years or so democratic socialists have been jointly attacked by oligopolist/wealthy fearmongers who sought to confuse democratic socialism with Marxist Communism, and by hard core Marxist/Leninist/Maoist Communists who have a religious hatred of actual messy democratic politics and individual rights. The German Communists often covertly teamed up with the Nazis to attack the German Democratic Socialists….
My politically complicated family, (Dad a member of the California Republican Party State Steering Committee until the choose to back a bill proposing concentration camps for men with HIV, Mom the same with the Democrats, called “the Good Witch of the South” as a matching twin to Nancy Pelosi “the Good Witch of the North” in the 80s and 90s) were center-left warriors agains Communism all their lives (Dad backing the Wobblies the Communists in timber industry where he worked as teenager and college student and Mom backing AFL-CIO against Communists to the point of physical violence leading to her being hospitalized at a furniture factory making WWII desks in the summer of 1943).
There is a space that detests and fights communism and defends workers and the poor and a vision of a profoundly democratic society.
You want more, I got it!

But the problem is if you are not vocal about it, it does no good. It’s like the Big Beautiful Bill. The only way the portion of the bill, where they were going to sell off public land , was taken out, With Mike Lee having to turn tail and run, was because us hunters, fishers, hikers, and campers, put up so big a stink that even the outdoor companies had to join in. I even emailed my congress critters and tweeted at the NRA (Who I have detested every since they attacked Papa Bush) If it is a problem, than say something, if you keep quiet then you are condoning it. That is how we now have US steel under the thumb of the Government, which is a slippery slope, and that is how it begins.

Hawaii, New York and California tax the wealthy the most in America. All three states are economic leaders and benefit from taxing the wealthy.
- Hawaii has the highest overall tax burden, while Alaska has the lowest.
- Vermont has the highest property tax burden, while Alabama has the lowest.
- New York has the highest individual income tax burden, while eight states (including Texas, Florida, and Washington) have none.
- On average, red states have a lower tax burden than blue states.

Not true. It is always easy to spend someone else’s money. When it comes to your own, the rubber meets the road.
Government is always about spending everyone’s money for the good of everyone. Personally I would have rather spent the 2 billion bombing Iran and starting a war to spending on American citizens for healthcare. I would rather take the 3.8 billion we give to Israel and give American citizens healthcare. Why would you back giving my money away and spending it on people that are not Americans?
