In late July, the Ukrainian leader said Russia wanted to bring in another 30,000 North Korean troops, before adding this weekend that Pyongyang decided to have between 30,000 and 50,000 North Koreans deployed on Russian territory. He did not specify if this number included the North Korean troops already taking part in the conflict.
North Korea earns between $7.7 billion and $14.4 billion (€6.7 billion and €12.5 billion) from the sale of munitions to Moscow and the deployment of troops. Bloomberg Economics recently estimated that between 2022 and 2025, North Korea earned more than $14 billion by providing military support for Russia.
