OT, sharing my valuation methods

That is a big interest of mine, and I have developed about 8 different ways of doing it. I can share 7 of them, since one was given to me, with the promise that I would not share it. This is off topic, so no replies needed. I don’t contribute here that much, because I don’t have that much interesting stuff to say. My email is msheingold@gmail.com.

I recommend checking the calculations on the spreadsheet. They should be correct except for the reverse DCF. The math in the reverse DCF got complicated.

I will distribute the workbook, but I will also work on a revision to it, that has instructions and explanations that will be easier to follow.

I was thinking about it, and some of the sheets are simple and intuitive. A few are not. One idea behind reverse dcf is that you are given the markets implied growth rate. If you independently think it is growing at 30%, and the implied rate is 20%, you have an undervalued stock. However, that is not intuitive. Therefore, I recommend uploading the workbook to AI, and having them explain anything you don’t understand. They may even recommend a few improvements which you could email me.

Attached is the spreadsheet. It is not necessary to understand all the methods. Just a few is ok. I only went out 2 -3 years, because you can get data only that far at sites, like fiscal ai. However, the methods you choose, you do need to understand. There is a lot of art involved. If a company is growing at 30% a year for 3 years, what is a fair exit p/e, or p/s. That is something you have to decide. You have to decide how much share dilution there will be. Please make sure you understand what you are doing before applying this workbook. Valuation is not mechanical. This is my first copy of the spreadsheet. I recommend checking all the formulas. They should be right, because with the exception of the reverse DCF, they are very simple. I will also be putting in explanations for each line on my next revision. Valuation is always a work in progress. I would recommended going to AI, uploading the sheet, and having them explain it to you.

Won’t let me send an attachment. Please use your private email.

Sorry, the board probably isn’t a good place to share things like this. I’ll just close the thread and leave it here. I guess with the email address in the first message on the thread, if anyone wants to move this off-board, they can. :man_shrugging:
