The economics are shifting with the alliances, while deflation is sweeping the globe.
We divided the world up in the Cold War into democracies and dictatorships. The US has fought 4 major wars, Vietnam, Korea, Iraq, and Afghanistan, since then. Everything is shifting right now. The war with Iran is not a major war…hopefully never will be. But what is blurred is our defense of democracy abroad and not at home. Both parties are f&rting around with the goal. That was the same between the Federalists and the Republicans, Hamilton and Jefferson over England and France. We can hash it out. This is not about Israel. This is about Iran. Israel’s style is direct and the country is in the theater. Saudi Arabia is more in contention with Iran than is Israel. As for the killing of Iran’s leader, Bibi Joon. Now Trump is holding them while they calm down. Or until they calm down. Yet the only solution for Iran seems to be to go nuclear. The regime was going nuclear anyway if they can. We’d be fools to allow it. If 20 nuclear weapons go off(to save someone the effort, the human race would be gone, not the actual planet), the planet is gone. How many nuclear powers will we have?
What we have to allow is an investigation of countercyclical economics. While we talk a good game, TPTB have worries that are going unexpressed. Deflation.
Push it off for two years? Makes a difference? Probably not.
If we grow our industrial sectors, then both the US and China compete. D’oh!
Yet if we do not grow our industrial sector, then we have too much debt. We have been betting the farm on AI. That now looks troubling. There are reports that AI won’t displace many workers after all. I do not know if that is worse than any other result, because our intentions to beat China involve automated factories with much lower labor expenses. That is not where this is going.
While Jefferson won, the French Revolution horrified Americans. In the long run, the English gained our alliance. There is a chance something horrifying will happen in the ME, and opinions here change.
