I recently noticed that Sriracha is back in the local grocery store here in California. The hot sauce had been missing from the shelves for several months, at least. Evidently, the Mexican peppers that go into it had been unavailable, so Huy Fong Foods stopped manufacture until a new crop was harvested. I happily bought a bottle.
Note: If you are a fan of Sriracha (also sometimes called Rooster Sauce) and still can’t find it, I have found the Tabasco brand of Sriracha is an acceptable substitute. Still, it is nice having the original back in the store.
