I have experienced worse (a 6 day power outage and well water to add to the misery)
The Miracle Shop was unscathed (that particular part of Golden didn’t get hit until the Friday when we were packing up)
My family has been giving this year as opposed to buying any gifts. We will do a Yankee swap.
We are worried about the general public this year like never before.

Ever look into a whole home automatic backup generator? We have had them installed in our last 2 homes. The one in Louisiana more than paid for itself when we lost power for 48+ hours in August a couple times. In Tennessee, the main reason we installed one was because we were 1 or 2 houses on a supply line so at the bottom of any repair list if a major outage/disaster. Longest outage has been 8 hours here.
We did that after the long outage. Worked like a charm. Not a single power outage for the remaining years we lived in that house. We’re contemplating adding battery backup to our solar panels right now.
