OT: Zelensky dancing

President Volodymyr Zelensky is internationally recognized as a courageous but humble hero whose inspiration is critical for maintaining the morale of the Ukrainian resistance to the Russian invasion.

In earlier years, Zelensky was an entertainer. Here is a video of clips of him on Ukraine’s version of “Dancing with the Stars.”

He’s fit, nimble, athletic and has that je-ne-sais-quoi charisma of the outstanding dancer.

President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia threatened that Ukraine might lose its statehood. “The current leadership needs to understand that if they continue doing what they are doing, they risk the future of Ukrainian statehood,” he said at a meeting in Moscow on Saturday, in his first extended remarks since the start of the war. “If that happens, they will have to be blamed for that.” [end quote]

How typical of Stalinist new-speak to blame the victim.

Zelensky has known from the beginning of the Russian invasion that he and his family are on a Russian hit list. (Told by U.S. intelligence.) He is refusing to abandon Ukraine.

U.S. and Allies Discuss Security of Ukraine’s Leaders Amid Fears for Zelensky’s Safety

Concerns about the line of succession were prompted in part because President Volodymyr Zelensky insists he will not be evacuated.

I hope that Zelensky will be able to dance joyfully in future years.
But it isn’t looking good.
