For the sake of preserving history, on December 10, 2020 I posted the following poll:
5 years from now, which of the following do you think will be worth the most (defined by market price)? All choices sell for roughly $340,000 at this moment.
In alphabetical order:
930 SPY (dividend adjust entry price for final result)
Poll results were:
44% (32 Votes) 1 BRK-A
22% (16 Votes) 930 SPY + accumulated dividends
18% (13 Votes) 18.8 Bitcoins
9% (7 Votes) 940 SNOW
5% (4 Votes) 590 TSLA
Note: TSLA has to be split adjusted 3:1.
And here are the % changes to date:
The only one beating inflation is BRK-A.
Nice! Thx for update! I’ve been long since 97…majority of my net worth. I just keep adding on the dips. Berkshire, of course.
To quote one of our eminent posters:
“Dollar cost average. Get rich slowly. Sleep well. Enjoy life.”
Except that poster is always telling you that BRK is going to do terribly relative to most of the other options in the poll.
I hope you don’t mind me posting the results you posted on Shrewdom:
Update December 17, 2022
After two years Berkshire is in the lead:
Except for SNOW performing worse than TSLA, the relative returns match the original poll results.
Tesla down -21.8%!?
You know what?
I don’t think I’m gonna let that guy put a chip in my brain after all…
