If I sell shares out of my portfolio, how do I recognise the resulting cash, given I can’t see a cash pot option, when setting up a portfolio? How do I correctly measure the performance of a basket of shares, if some have been converted to cash?
Hi @Pendennis,
If you are asking about the portfolio program on the Fool site, you might add SWVXX to the portfolio.
It is a money market fund, price $1.00/share.
That way it is easy to ‘buy/sell’ and should correctly track the cash for you.
Personally, I stopped using it prior to moving to the new system.
I built my own program that runs on my desktop rather than trusting the info out on a website.
Does that help you?

where is the portfolio program on Fool? I made a portfolio program using a spreadsheet on my computer. But I would like to look at the one on here.
It’s the My Stocks feature on the Premium pages. It does require a Fool subscription to access but if you have one, you can go to your dashboard, then select My Stocks from the menu across the top of the page.
