RTX was whacked about 10 points after their last quarterly report, when they disclosed that the powdered metal parts used in one of their engine lines are going to cost them a pile to correct.
Surprise, surprise, surprise. The problems are worse than they initially said.
RTX said that about 600 to 700 engines beyond the company’s early forecast will have to be removed for shop visits through 2026.
Is this the last roach? Based on past performance by other companies that have had the same sort of congenital defect in their products, nope.
