SA: Arista, Buy the Fall From Grace

https://seekingalpha.com/article/4147579-arista-networks-buy…

Arista Networks had its first quarterly disappointment in Q4, falling more than 10% in after-hours trading.

The selloff comes despite the fact that Arista beat both revenue and earnings targets.

The selloff is probably a profit-taking move from long investors who’ve enjoyed a 150%-plus gain in the past year.

While Arista is not substantially cheap, its earnings growth is phenomenal and any pullback should be bought.

Compelling argument. And interesting comment below that I don’t have time right now to investigate…

There’s a guy on here by the name of Terry Eger. His claim to fame? He was the guy who hired the legendary Cisco CEO of many years John Chambers. Go looking for his posts on here. This man knows all the key players for Cisco and for Arista Networks. He knows the culture and the products and the strategies of both companies. Ask him who he puts his money on in Cisco vs Arista.
Hint: it’s not Cisco.

Could be quite an interesting little tidbit, Dan…and is very easily-believable, simply from knowing part of the origin story of Arista Networks (and throwing in the long-ago firing of their co-founders Sandy Lerner and her former husband whose name escapes me at the moment…and postulated that part of that corporate culture may have remained present in Cisco for years and years).
