I have seen this get rich scheme before.

One of the biggest idiots I ever met got involved.

Agreed that such a system would fail. The problem is the selling price is in addition to the ongoing monthly fee. If you buy the car, you own it. If you don’t own it, then why was there a purchase price?

What could work is a “whole vehicle” lease type of system. But that completely changes the existing car dealership system. The vehicle manufacturers do NOT want to share the revenue if there are no sales.
