I just did a very quick analysis of the market caps of Saul’s companies.
Large positions - 7.1% - 8.6%
SYNA, CELG, UBNT, BOFI, AMBA, MTZ
The average market cap is $2.75B.
If the high and the low are discarded it doesn’t change much: $2.58B
Average Positions - 3.2% - 5%
SYZM, WAB, HZNP, AFOP, Z, CSGP, SCTY, JCOM, CALL, PSIX
Avg MC: $2.37B
Discard the low and high: $2.65B
Small Positions - 0.9% - 1.5%
NGVC, PFIE, INBK, LNKD, APPY, ELLI
Avg MC: $633M
Discard the low and high: $446M
Largest MC - CELG - $60.4B
Smallest MC - APPY - $65.5M
Tiny positions not evaluated.
Obviously there are some gaps around position size. Just thought I’d post.

Thanks Jeb, I’ve never done that.

Wait Jeb, there’s something very wrong! If you are averaging 6 market caps, and one of them is $60B, then 60 divided by 6 is $10B - even if the other five had zero market cap at all!!! What did you do here?
Saul
I left out a zero! I should have caught that myself. When I looked at the list it was easy to see that CELG was going to skew the numbers because it was so much larger than the rest. That is why I calculated a version where I threw out the low and the high…and then I went on my merry way.
The average of the top 6 are $11.8B.
Gotta be more careful.
Thanks Saul.
