shares rose 8 percent Thursday after media sites reported an allegedly “new” partnership with Amazon.com, Inc.

A Shopify spokesperson told Benzinga that the partnership had been public for more than a year and that the companies made no announcement immediately prior to market activity. However, a company blogpost on January 3 highlighted the relationship and may have alerted previously unaware investors.
Following Benzinga’s report clarifying the pre-existence of the Shopify–Amazon bond, shares fell 1.4 percent to a low of $46.77.

nice news for SHOP, that stock needed to get moving, its too good a company to just maintain its price

Today I spent the day with my Daughter and Grand Children. At the end of the day I got on my I-phone to check on a few stocks. When I saw Shop up 8.02% I thought of you. I am sure, at times, we have all felt like the market was kicking our butt. Days like today are sweet. Woot woot indeed.
