Saw this coming a mile away. Wonder if it impacts SQ at all. My guess is there’s room for both.

Shopify’s move seems like a natural response to Square’s announcement last month they were moving into on-line storefronts and e-commerce websites.

I agree there’s room for both and hold both in my portfolio for now. It was likely inevitable their businesses would overlap at some point as both continue to expand.

Yeh and up against PayPal’s iZettle POS device.

Let’s see how this is accepted by the street and merchants.
