For anyone who is still interested, I saw my first Skechers store in Guilin, China yesterday. It was in the lower level of a brand new mall, large store front strategically placed between a Nike store and an Adidas store. The mall is very new )open less than a year) and several of the stores on the lower level are still empty, there was not much traffic. This will change in the near future I am confident.
I currently have no position in SKX, but it was followed closely on this board for a while so I thought I would pass this info along.
For those who don’t know, Guilin is in SE China. It attracts tourist from all over the world primarily due to the unusual geological formations in the area. It is considered a medium sized city in China with a population of apx 1M. The new mall is in the central downtown area.
