For the past couple of days I have been having an issue with Solitaire. I have a annual subscription for ad free play that’s good until 10/26/26. Lately when I call the game up I have to wait through a 30 second ad. Formerly I would finish a game and could immediately begin playing another game.
I have deleted solitaire and reinstalled it but that didn’t help. Going to the Microsoft web site is totally useless. The best I can tell is there is no chat mode and no real people at Microsoft to talk to. I did manage to verify that both my MS 360 and solitaire subscriptions are in place. They make sure they can collect the moola goola but after that you are on your own.
I have Solitaire pinned to the taskbar and when I want to play I first go to the Notification Area/System Tray to turn off the Internet then click the Solitaire icon. Will still get occasional nags sign in.
I’m going a bit off topic to give a mention of some games I play too much.
Everett Kaser Software has the most old fashioned looking games you can imagine. They are not free. Single games are about $20, but they sell them in packs of 13 or 14 for $44. I bought Pack 1 ages, probably decades, ago, and just moved the folder to each new machine. I only play two of them, Sherlock and Knarly Mazes. They are logic puzzles. The complexity can be scaled; I play them maxed out. Each time they are played the counter increments… my next Sherlock is 41019, while mazes is only 26033.
Looks like you need to add a Sudoku game! I do it on the computer in my office and in books during ‘evening quality time’ while “watching” TV with DW.
I do standard Klondike when I am thinking about a coding problem/block point since it is a ‘mindless’ game. A few games and quite often, my solution just pops out!

Some are interesting to ‘computer guys’ like Net. You start with a set of terminals and connectors. You spin them to get everything connected. Here is a begin shot and 35 moves in (Some are clearly wrong):
Galaxies is a “gravity” puzzle. Each ‘star’ is a ‘balance point’ for its enclosing blocks. Here is a start, progress and solved set of pics. Note how many of my initial assumptions had to be modified:
I think the craziest is Untangle. You drag points that are connected to each other to get them where none of the lines cross each other. Here a very simple one with 10 points. With 25, it is insane.
I play solitaire while taking my morning dump and Sudoku while doing doing my breathing treatments, riding the bike at P/T and waiting in doctors offices.
