I hate to look like I’m picking side 'cause you’re both right. But while the “inspectors” might have done something better (and I suspect this was a money/manpower problem anyway) the problem is with the egg business. Lack of oversight is not an excuse for business to skip doing things right.

It’s easy to agree with that. But history would say otherwise. The entire reason why we have regulations and oversight is precisely because business has shown us, over and over again, they cannot be trusted.
