Symantec is Zscalers only competitor in the leader quadrant since they bought BlueCoat and then put bluecoat’s CEO in charge of everything. 4.6 or 4.2 billion deal - something like this.
BlueCoat is probably the largest security appliance company in the world. I cannot cut and paste it from my phone but look near the bottom. Symantec closing fewer deals than anticipated. Enough that large shareholders seem to be talkin reorganization of the company.
Hmmmmmm…makes one wonder if the returns on ZS relate to what is expressed as their only best competitor having a business fit in the wake of something disruptive such as ZS?
Is there someone else making waves in the market suddenly? Is security losing its importance? Or is ZS just eating their lunch and dinner too?
