Starting a Portfolio, new to explosive growth

Hello All,

I have been following this board for months and learning incredible amounts of information. I thank all the skilled investors and teachers here.

I am interested in allocating a portion of my portfolio to explosive growth stocks in paradigm shifting industries. I am more value and long term focused in personality and temperament, but realize that a technology shift is underway. I want exposure to this shift in addition to more steady companies. I understand many can run a super concentrated portfolio, but i do not have the skill nor personality to deal with the due diligence and volatility at this point(although ability to withstand the market swings is improving  Also, it is hard to move in and out as quickly as many here.

A question to all. How does one start a high growth portfolio? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

How does one start a high growth portfolio?

You buy a basket of high-growth stocks and allocate accordingly to your personal risk profile. Personally, I am only invested in 3-5 hyper-growth stocks at a time and nothing else but that approach is a reflection of my personal preferences, investment goals, and financial situation.

However, portfolio management is beyond the scope of this board, so you might get better answers by posting your question on one of the other boards listed here:

There are a lot of great and (low cost) mutual, index, and sector funds. You should look into those. Good luck!

Think of it like playing RedDeadRedemption2. You add one skill at a time. Learn to walk, run, jump, climb. Learn to ride your horse. Learn to shoot a gun. Learn to use your map. Learn how to freeze your enemies with Dead Eye. Make a little money off doing a job. Buy another gun. Learn to care for your guns. Find a treasure map. Learn to track down outlaws for the bounty. Make a little more money. Buy some nicer clothes. Get a better horse. Find a treasure. Learn who you can trust, who you can’t. Pull bigger jobs. And, little by little, step by step, you rise. And become one bad hombre.
