The video was over stating things just a wee bit. You don’t need the cloud for AI. Anyone can run LLMs locally on consumer hardware than fits in the palm of your hand.

The advantage of cloud AI is access to models with billions or trillions of parameters. But for more specialized applications like driving or robots, you don’t need that.
