Here is another one. Parking at my work is in a parking garage. Before v12 the FSD would drive and stop in the street outside the parking structure. Starting with V12 it would drive in the driveway (the closest of two driveways depending on which direction I come from).
The problem is that there is a gate. I’ve never not put my foot on the brake because it seems like it is going to bust through the gate. To gain access one needs to wave their phone app near a sensor or take a ticket.
I reported this, but that was ~ 6 months ago and clearly near the bottom of the to-do list.
But stopping to take a ticket is common in a parking structure with a gate. But of course a robotaxi won’t often be parking in such a place.
Exiting the structure with FSD is interesting. It knows how to navigate out (or maybe it is dumb luck that it just keeps driving around and around and ends up on the bottom floor), but doesn’t want to stop to open the gate.
As far as “stickers” go, I’ve changed the setting that says to not use the carpool lanes once my CA carpool sticker expired, but it still likes to get into the right hand carpool lanes in advance of a right turn too early. (Too early = possible ticket).
The left carpool lanes on freeways is always avoided…but it should know when I have a passenger and it is OK.
