The Canadian order has been on/off a few times over the years. Now TIG’s mouth has the order in jeopardy again.
Recall, how Japan and India made TIG smile was agreeing to buy a lot of US made weapons, as well as a lot of US oil and gas.

Given recent events, I wonder if the Japanese and Indians are having second thoughts about those “arty” deals. Buy a bunch of USian hardware, then you’re stuck. Every time TIG wants something from them, he’ll threaten to cut off ammo and spare parts, until they give him what he wants. I saw that scenario play out frequently: the “JC” will tell you anything, to get what he wants from you today. As soon as you give him what he wants, all his promises to you are forgotten. Wash, rise, repeat.

A very large part of the value of the F-35’s is precisely in the battle line electronic intercommunications systems that are cyber coded under the control of the USA.
The plane is unpopular with people who look at its flying capabilities and say “huh?”, but a prime point is in the strictly battlefield sensors, communication, and intelligence.
Our allies with any intelligence have got to be thinking “We have been so screwed.”

Trump has only been in office coming up on 2 months. The blowback and results are giving him more and more pause.
He is not intelligent. Carney barker ain’t all that and a bag of chips.
He’s in over his head.
They are going to force through a tax cut very fast. The bottom will fall out. He’ll be clueless and we all will see it.

Yes, but as you know?, the crux is not Trump. Trump is merely the old creaky ugly bus that is carrying Musk, Vance/Thiel, the insane so-called Christian Right (as a Christian I can no longer share the name with them), various plutocratical groups (the ones who are taking over SCOTUS, the Orban-ist soft Totalitarian “screw civil liberties and rights” “I aint sharing my WEALTH with nobody” wannabes, and all sorts of mostly white straight men who want to be like Jefferson and Lee and Jackson — masters over their slaves, concubines, and universe….
