After a series of crushing defeats for Russia’s military in Ukraine from the northeast to the south over the last several weeks, Russian authorities in Moscow appear to be increasingly concerned that Ukraine has set its sights on seizing back Crimea next.

Russian MP Andrei Gurulyov on Sunday urged Moscow to determine the risk of Ukraine and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization launching an attack on Crimea, which Russian President Vladimir Putin illegally annexed from Ukraine in 2014. Russian MP Mikhail Sheremet warned that Ukrainian troops will suffer a “final crushing blow” if they launch an attack on Crimea.

In an apparent attempt to temper fears that Ukraine would go after Crimea, the chairman of the Federation Council’s committee on defense and security, Viktor Bondarev, warned Monday that he doesn’t think Ukraine has the firepower to take back Crimea.

resident Vladimir Putin is “hiding” from the mothers and wives of Russian soldiers sent to fight in Ukraine under his partial mobilization, an anti-war group has claimed.

The Council of Mothers and Wives of mobilized soldiers, a grassroots movement, is demanding that Putin meet with its members after the Kremlin said the Russian leader would talk to mothers of men called up to fight this week.

The organization’s leaders say no mothers from the Council of Mothers and Wives have been invited to the event, which Kremlin sources say is scheduled to take place on Sunday, November 27, Mother’s Day in the country.

**If we get our hands on Putin, the world must take his sorry arse to the Hague. Whackdoodle GQP types still supporting Putin should know they are supporting real child trafficking and not the imaginary type in QAnon circles which sent a sick mental gelding with a rifle to D.C. to save the non-existent victims held in a non-existent basement of a Pizza Shop:

The Ukrainian government count is 11,461 children known by name and taken without families to Russia or Russian-controlled areas. President Volodymyr Zelensky told the G20 summit that there are “tens of thousands” more who are known about only indirectly or with less detail.

“Among them are many whose parents were killed by Russian strikes, and now they are being held in the state that murdered them,” he said.

The transfer of thousands of children is a stark reminder that this is not a typical armed conflict. These may be war crimes. They should be a wake-up call to Americans and Europeans fatigued by support for Ukraine.

The guy or gal who neutralizes Putin with or without violence will become the toast of the world and many Russians too. I would bet millions of Ukranians and Russians would enter a lottery to be picked as one of six executioners for Putin and his bloody Oligarchs.

The youngsters here are among many thousands of Ukrainian children whom Russia has taken from Ukraine and in some cases put up for adoption.

ABUJA, Nigeria—Russia’s infamous Wagner Group has abandoned dozens of former Central African Republic (CAR) rebels in Ukraine’s Donbas region after recruiting them to fight Vladimir Putin’s war, two former CAR fighters told The Daily Beast.

The CAR sources, who were recruited by Wagner after quitting the Union for Peace (UPC) rebel group last December, said that many of the 100 or so ex-UPC fighters currently in Ukraine have lost contact with Wagner after the group trained them and flew them to the Donbas region about eight months ago.

“Some of our colleagues have called us [on the phone] to inform us that the Russian soldiers who took them to eastern Ukraine deployed them to a particular town and left them to fight on their own,” Ali, who was not part of the group sent to Ukraine, told The Daily Beast. “As we speak, they haven’t been paid for months and they can’t even feed themselves.” (The Daily Beast has changed the names of its sources to protect them from possible retribution.)
