I drove a Model Y. Fine car. FSD is worth a 100 bucks a month to me.
Problem is, the car is too small, and the range is too short for the mission I have for it. I think the Model S all wheel drive long range with Hardware 4 would work. Three weeks ago you could get a HW4 car used for under 50k. Today there are ZERO used model S cars in Tesla inventory.
I don’t need one today, still it is a little concerning. I would hope the S would not become a classic collectors item, but in any case I will not be buying on in the next 6 months or longer.
I would consider a Cyber Truck. They are big enough, but trying to cross Texas, South Dakota or North Dakota in one would be very challenging.
That leaves a Model Y L long range all wheel drive. The reviews are good. The range is a little less than the Model S long range, but not as short as the Cyber Truck.
The only problem. I cannot buy one. They are not in the USA. I hope they start building them here, but do not know if that will happen.
Does anybody want to hazard a guess on a debut of the Model Y L in the USA?
The mission is touring car. Not a daily driver. Will sit mostly be mostly charged at super chargers.
