It’s just amusing that brown people are not considered “refugees”. The administration has even revoked the refugee status of Venezuelans in the US. But white South Africans, the article mentions some 70% of the farm land in SA is still owned by a handful of whites, are :“victims” and “refugees”.
Steve
Isn’t it ironic? Don’t you think?
It’s not free laaaaaand, when you’ve already paid.
That article is behind a paywall. Other articles claim the proposed law is similar to USian “eminent domain”, offering compensation to the land owners.
Steve
My bad, I don’t subscribe and didn’t have a problem. Long story short, many in SA had land they have deeds for taken during Apartheid. People suggesting that all current landowners deserve compensation ignore this fact.
Many people in Shiny land “own” land taken from indigenous people by force. Taking land by force is a “traditional American family value”.
Steve
Then taking it AGAIN is “no big problem”, RIGHT ??? LOL !!!
In the case of South Africa, that would make white people the “victims”. That makes it different, right?
