I think it is a very good idea for Apple, or any company, to have a diversified supply/manufacturing chain.

Absolutely, maybe e even multiple factories here, crank up the local production… But, they also have a large Indonesian, Chinese market, too, so offshoring some is still needed… A lot of talents are being wasted, the hundreds of thousands laid off in the telecom world are out there, many not aged out, like myself, and ready to hop aboard I bet…
