What puzzles me is red delicious apples have gone extinct at the grocery store I shop at. They used to have apples from Washington state, big, juicy, great apples. in bins, so I could sort through and grab the especially handsome ones. Then they vanished, and I had to settle for Michigan apples, smaller, in bags, but last year’s were really good. Now, they don’t even have a space on the shelf for red delicious of any sort.
