Trump Signs Executive Order to Release Records on Kennedy and MLK Killings

{{ Since returning to office, Mr. Trump has said he no longer considers such redactions to be valid and wants everything related to the president’s assassination to be released. He also ordered agencies to develop plans to release papers related to the killings of Senator Kennedy and Dr. King, which were not covered by a previous disclosure law focused on President Kennedy.

“I have now determined that the continued redaction and withholding of information from records pertaining to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy is not consistent with the public interest and the release of these records is long overdue,” Mr. Trump said in an executive order. He added that “I have determined that the release of all records” related to the deaths of Senator Kennedy and Dr. King “is also in the public interest.” }}

Maybe UFO’s and “non-human biologicals” are next. {{ LOL }}

Seeing as it’s been over 60 years since JFK shuffled off this mortal coil, releasing the records seems reasonable.

I kinda agree, but it probably depends on what’s in the records and the public reaction. There must be a reason why it’s taken so long.

And it would be nice to know that as well.

And the point is?

If the files don’t back up what the conspiracy nutters say, the nutters will say the official files are part of the conspiracy.

To distract from the economic (and, political - but not on this board) consequences of the new administration’s policies and actions.

One of the administration’s advisors main advice is to fill the zone with - ummmm, let’s just call it irrelevant distractions. This would be one of those distractions.

Stay focused on the economy and the impacts of policy and action on the macroeconomic background to our personal investing.

It’s all about the show.

Some records were released during Trump’s first term, but were heavily redacted because they “embarrassed the CIA”.

Now Trump has had his fill of the “Deep State”, and thinks that the CIA needs some embarrassing. I tend to agree.

People have long speculated that a John Birch Society aligned CIA was behind JFK’s assassination. Maybe we’ll find out.

If the CIA isn’t competent enough to have “cleansed” the information after over 60 years, I’d be shocked, not to mention quite disappointed, in their lack of espionage skills.

It should have been done years ago.

There is basic evidence such as the entry and exit of bullets etc…

More importantly, there is questioning and examining the parties involved. They should never have been shielded.

All the issues and motives should have been seen by the press and the public. The government should not rule onto itself like it has.

A miracle! Or maybe it was just a minor oversight…14,000 pages

The FBI just discovered about 2,400 records tied to President Kennedy’s assassination that were never provided to a board tasked with reviewing and disclosing the documents, Axios has learned.

The still-secret records are contained in 14,000 pages of documents the FBI found in a review triggered by President Trump’s Jan. 23 executive order demanding the release of all JFK assassination records.
