Hi. I was reading one of the articles this morning about Twilio and it mentioned their dollar based net retention rate of 146. Here is the article.
It struck me one of the things Saul has been harping on in his monthly posts. If the dollar based net retention is 1.46 and the customer retention is close to 100%, that’s almost 46% growth built in. Without selling a single new client.
If my understanding of this is accurate, WOW. This might be one of the places where those posting comparisons with the dot com crash or that growth of these rates can’t be sustained are missing the boat.
What am I missing?
