Another video showing how trash unsupervised robotaxi is. I think the robotaxi looped around the block like 4 times before finally going in the right direction.
Anyone got a link to that clip of the Waymo going around in circles> Nothing so complicated as a block.
The difference is Waymo does 4 million autonomous miles per week while Tesla does what? Hundreds? Maybe a couple thousand?
I don’t think Waymo would stoop to putting out a product as terrible as robotaxi on public highways.
Except that Waymo mostly doesn’t do highways …
Whoops! Behind the times again!
Yes, Waymo drives on highways (freeways)
. As of November 2025, Waymo began offering fully autonomous, driverless freeway trips to the general public in the San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles, and Phoenix. These freeway rides are designed to be faster and more direct for passengers, with plans to expand to Austin and Atlanta
The reason for the “mostly” was my understanding that this was extremely limited, like 101 to the airport in San Francisco and little else.
Watching that clip and the discussion around it, the looping behavior doesn’t even feel like an edge case, more like a system that still struggles with basic decision confidence. The comparison with Waymo is interesting too, especially around scale and where each system is actually deployed. From an investor perspective, that gap in real-world miles matters way more than hype. Even tools like Phonexa show how performance only becomes real once it’s consistent at scale, not just in isolated demos.
