Upcoming earnings for stocks of interest to this board

I will try to get these in chronological order. These are after market close or before market opens. There are some that I could not find on company web site so they are estimated EST.

Date Company

2/2 BILL AMC
2/2 SWK BMO
2/6 SPG AMC

2/23 OLED AMC

Add or correct. I did not put down earnings scheduled for March because so many were estimated only. There are a lot scheduled the first few days of March.

Looks good, Raylight. In a rush this morning so won’t try it now. But just wanted to note that AFRM was down 7% on the session and then tanked another 19.4% after hours.

I moved the alternate format to the top, so that the first thing you see when editing is you neat old school table. Easier to quickly add commentary in that one.

Remove [details="(Click here for experimental alternate format)"] and [\details] if you want to get rid of the click here thingy. Or just let me know how you want it.

TTD earnings earlier this week and it skyrocketed for no reason at 24% growth. Yeah, EBIDTA was up bigly or whatever, but of course no one questions SBC.

(sigh)

Sucks because I have been waiting 3 years to get back in.
I still haven’t missed much, having exited at split-adjusted $26.50, and it got as low as the $30’s in 2022, but ballooned back up to $60 after ER.

It will go back down again, and possibly again to mid/high 30s. Eventually. Problem is the higher it goes now, the less likely I ever get my target entry.

I would buy at $25-29 and sell at $60.

So that is the difference between the yolo/fomo “valuation don’t like matter” crowd and myself: I see the stock already at the “you won” stage of valuation, and they see it as a great entry point.

Crazy world.

GLBE grew 67% in 2022…good stuff.
Did $409m in rev and had loss of $200m for year…not so great.

Forecast for 43% on high end for y/y growth in 2023.

Stock pops.
I call bs.

I would like to admonish our entire board of directors, and all you lurkers out there, for a complete and utter failure to make TMDX a core holding discussed here on WAFTT.

WHAT DO I PAY YOU PEOPLE FOR???
I don’t pay you?
Well…I can’t be bothered with details and such.

Just know that we missed out, apparently, on 4x returns in 12 months, about to be 5x based on premarket it seems.

I am appalled.
Appalled!

As a top lurker we’re sorry!

Will the beatings continue until moral improves?

Haha

BTW in regards to your tweet about adding .ai to your user name. You need to mention AI more than once. In fact the more you mention it the more we know how involved you are with AI. You don’t have to provide any specific numbers, just mentioning it is good enough. NVidia and analysts mentioned it 90 times last night.

Got to love it when the lurkers start engaging in class stratification…clearly illustrating the divide between upper and lower echelons of Lurker Society.

Bravo to you, sir, I say…bravo.

I hereby designate CoopersHawk as Seneschal Princeps of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Distinguished Lurkers.

Please fill your exclusive ranks with only those most exemplary of lurkers. How you judge those that rarely/never post? I leave the details to you, and you may, of course, delegate that further down to your deputies or maybe an intern.

best of luck!

Yes, well, not having TMDX as a core holding equals failure??? How about HAVING TMDX as a core holding… up until about a year ago and then jettisoning it for God know what.

Your welcome.

KC

ps I took this need/opportunity to download DW’s transaction history from Schwab (as they jettisoned her for the sin of being a foreign resident back in November). TMDX history: 6 buys, one sell. Sold at $28.19 on 8/16/21 for a total loss of $854.20–almost a wash. First buy on 5/19/20 at $16.77. Lowest buy at $14.55 on 9/25/20. My next buys after selling TMDX were Texas Roadhouse and BJ Restaurants. Don’t ask.

I asked chat GPT to summarize Nvidia’s earning Q&A session as it pertains to AI.

During the earnings call, NVIDIA executives talked extensively about the company’s focus on artificial intelligence (AI) and how it is driving growth across many different industries. The company sees AI as a key driver of demand for its products, including GPUs, data center solutions, and software tools. NVIDIA believes that AI is revolutionizing many areas of computing, including language processing, image recognition, and autonomous vehicles. The company highlighted several key initiatives in AI, including the H-100, a new data center solution that is designed specifically for AI workloads, and generative AI, which has sparked interest among customers. NVIDIA also sees the growth of AI as fueling the development of “AI factories” all over the world, where companies will use data centers to produce intelligence in the form of refined or improved models. Overall, NVIDIA sees enormous potential in AI and is investing heavily in this area to drive future growth.

Me talking: Nvidia is too expensive now and this AI hype will probably keep that way for a bit. Longer term it is interesting. Really interesting to see how this will advance for software coding.

Just for fun I asked it to be summarized in the voice of a pirate phrased as a rap.

Ahoy there, matey, let me spin ye a tale
Of AI and data centers that never do fail
NVIDIA’s the name, and we’re known for our chips
But the problem’s so complex, we need a whole stack of tricks

We’ve got H-100s and GPUs, new launches abound
Generative AI, too, it’s the talk of the town
Our customers are CSPs, startups, and enterprises galore
And we’ll grow our revenue, that’s what we’re shootin’ for

Moore’s Law may be dead, but we’re still acceleratin’
And we’re makin’ factories for AI, it’s no exaggeratin’
The world’s gonna be cranking out soft goods, that’s the new game
And we’ll be there to provide the hardware, it’s our claim to fame

In the next decade, we’ll make a million x improvement, that’s our goal
New chips, new systems, new algorithms, we’ll be on a roll
We’re not just a chip company, we think across the entire stack
And that’s why we’re gonna make AI breakthroughs, that’s a fact

So, there ye have it, me hearties, that’s our AI tale
NVIDIA’s the captain, and we’re settin’ sail
To the land of AI factories, where intelligence is king
And we’ll be there to help ye, with our chips and our whole AI thing!

Have the Hypers coming up. I sold my little bits of ZS and S yesterday, bought PANW.

I did not put FOUR on the list. Very good report yesterday.

Up 13% on the session. The companies are doing well. The stock pops and then in the next week, wilted flowers. Dang!

Good job by SNOW…getting March off to a good start.

At what point does valuation matter?

ZS may have bad forecast…they did stumble a few years back with sales momentum. Will history repeat?

Waiting on 52 wk lows before going long.

Of course, i still didnt buy BILL. Ha.

I haven’t looked at the details, cause I am not bothered enough to do so, but judging by AH reaction to ER, I was probably fairly accurate.

Given CRWD panic over S, I don’t think they will have done well. And S comes off such large hypergrowth numbers that it won’t be surprising to see growth taper off quite a bit, although they may improve their negative profit situation a bit.

Either way, looks like the hypergrowth studs are exciting this Q’s round of ERs on a down note.

Unless of course you have associated your business with “AI” like the company AI did, and of course they are nonsensically up huge.

CRWD underwhelmed.

MDB is down in AH. You would have an ok CAGR on MDB depending when you bought in 2018. Since then…meh…not so much.

ZS was a letdown. Because of a sales hiccup cratering stock early on, you could have bought them in 2019 and early 2020 and made similar CAGR. But otherwise, no bueno.

DDOG? Back to covid low or 2019 to be worth much CAGR.

ZM is near IPO price from spring 2019.

BILL? Covid low or 2019 otherwise blah.

Such are the plights of the greatest SaaS stocks of our time. Or so I was told.

My beloved TTD? Pretty much covid low or earlier.

Sure glad I adopted that Doctor Doom persona…

(props to myself)
