Village Farms reported.
There legacy business profit was up 6 percent. They reduced costs and produced a better tomato.
However, they talked a lot about the Cannibus business. It appears that they will be the lowest cost producer. (Preliminary numbers are 1 dollar a gram vice 2.50. I need to research these numbers.)
The projected production, (as I recall) about 75,000 kilo grams. (per year?) This indicates to me that they will have 75 million a (year?) cost. The margins would be 50 percent or better at wholesale.
I will need to read the conference call closer and the finacials before I can make more sense of this company.
However, the general sense is that this will change this company from a sleepy little produce grower to the biggest pot dealer in the world.
