All eyes will be on the Fed this Wednesday. The consensus estimate is for a 75-basis-point increase, bringing the benchmark interest rate to between 3 and 3.25 percent — up from near zero at the start of the year.

10-year Treasury yield jumps to 3.51%, the highest level since 2011

I see on bankrate.com that one can get a 15 month CD with 3% interest rate. The 1 years are running 2.7 to 2.75. 6 month CD are 2.3-2.5%.

I hope your body reacts better than mine the omicron booster. I got the Moderna booster & had body aches for 2 days. My reaction to first vaccinations (Pfizer) and then a Moderna booster was nada. I skipped the 4th booster as it was formulated for the original variants & had negligible effect on the omicron variation.

The first shot was a bit nasty but each successive one was less bothersome. I suppose the Portuguese health service knows what it’s doing and won’t mix vaccine types.

Thanks!
