Why does Apple take it upon their selves to constantly change your iPhone set up every time they do an update. My photos use (used) to be simple. You went to ONE album and they were there. They were in chronological order from 2012 to 2026. If I wanted to look at a photo I took an hour ago I just went to the ONE & ONLY album and that photo was the last photo in the ONE & ONLY album. I didn’t put me in a trip I took to Disneyland or DisneyWorld. It didn’t show 40,000 shots of my boss standing next to Halloween scary monsters she like to stand next to in Lowes. It didn’t show me photos of the grandkids receiving their MBAs. It just gave me the photo I took one hour ago.
Anyone know how to fix my iPhone 13 so the photos go back to normalcy? Maybe my iPhone needs a good old fashioned ennama.
I just went to iOS27, but I’m not seeing a big difference in Photos, Library is everything, latest at the bottom, the next button over are Collections and there are all the various Folders or shared albums, I haven’t tried editing, but I generally do that on my desktop Mac, other than maybe a crop… Lots of new abilities I have yet to explore.. I’m on an iPhone 15 Pro Max, if that makes a difference… Maybe there is a way to sort, or see by day, month or year?
It’s been a few days since the update to iOS27, maybe it’s just my somewhat minimal use, but I also haven’t seen any issues, problems, but I also sync, transfer all new photos to my Mac mini, rather than mess with them on the iPhone. Maybe if I were traveling, I’d have to use the iPhone more… Spam calls continue being silenced, when I get a chance, I block 'em, never seen again… Still rumbling about whether I ‘need’ the 18 Pro Max…
I’m still on 26 point something, so maybe this is a meaningless question, but when I open Photos at the bottom it has choices of Library and Collections. When Library is chosen I have what you say you want; it opens at the bottom, and above there is everything. Is Library active?
I sync photos entirely to my iMac. I never trusted my photos to iCloud. Maybe that’s the difference?
Speaking of the iMac, I get the replacement Mac mini tomorrow. Hoping for a smooth migration. I’ll be happy to spend the rest of the week working out software updates if the main system migration itself just goes smoothly.
