William Singer: go to jail, go directly to jail. Do not pass "Go"

google says there are just over 15,000 students at WMU, so using the $25M you cite, each student is paying about $1660 for the privilege of living vicariously thru the WMU athletes and coaches this year. Not counting, of course, the money the students are contributing via ticket sales and swag.

You are assuming every student gives a hoot. I sure didn’t when I was there. And that athletics surcharge isn’t voluntary either. The students that could not care less are taxed to subsidize the circus anyway.

not assuming that at all, was pointing out how much every student is paying for athletics, totally non-voluntary.

I suspect the important question is ‘how many alumni give a hoot (and money)?’
