Wood heat and the big freeze

Back when I was shoveling my driveway, I was happy with my Manplow for all but the wettest snow. It is best to get to it before more than a couple of inches of accumulation, though. I was surprised by the people who bought a snowblower for the few times we had any significant accumulation. In our new place, the HOA is responsible for the roads and driveway. I still have a few square feet of sidewalk to shovel, which I can do with a standard snow shovel. They don’t always get to the driveways in a timely manner, so I have already done the driveway myself (with a standard shovel) on one occasion, but it is still less square footage than I had to do before.

I did take a serious look and in reality, I fancy this is all I’d need…and it would definitely be me shoveling, if I have anything to do with it. I’ve actually placed an order for the EGO electric shovel because, if I don’t, dh will almost certainly land us with the sort of gizmo that’d make short work of a football pitch.
