WPR's August 2026 portfolio review

Hey everyone, this month was up and down but gained a little bit since the end of July. I had a fair amount of changes to my allocations post earnings season.

This month I launched a Membership service through my Youtube channel! The Membership videos are providing weekly portfolio updates, full earnings breakdowns, details on new portfolio companies, promising new stock ideas and strategy content.

Please bear with me while I figure out the right balance of Membership videos and open Youtube video content. From my perspective, I’m just getting started in this field and there will be a lot of great content coming up on both the “Free Tier” and Membership side.

My results at the end of July were,

  • 2024: +146%
  • 2025: +112%
  • 2026: +26% YTD
  • Cumulative: +557%

YTD points in time for 2026 are,

  • JAN +4% YTD
  • FEB -16% YTD
  • MAR -20% YTD
  • APR +11% YTD
  • MAY +50% YTD
  • JUN +62% YTD
  • JUL +22% YTD
  • AUG +26% YTD

My highest allocation stocks at the end of August were,

  1. Astera Labs ALAB
  2. Figure Technology FIGR
  3. Silicon Motion SIMO
  4. Ethos Technologies LIFE
  5. Credo CRDO*
  6. Lumentum LITE
  7. Micron MU

I put an asterisk next to Credo in my top 7 stocks because I trimmed the position back by ~60% of the position size, after their report.

One new stock that I discovered this month was Onto Innovation ONTO. This stock has been rising in allocation as I’ve been adding to them. My video above introduces Onto, and explains why their hardware + software based approach is currently winning in semiconductor inspection field.

Feedback is always welcome on the stock names and content. Best of luck to everyone and their portfolios!

Hi @wpr101 thanks for the insightful video! I wondered what your thoughts were on KLIC, since their report. I totally understand if you want to keep this for members; I am curious because I got quite interested in the company after following your previous reports, and I thought you would end up making it quite a large position
Thanks for everything you do!
Cheers

@Ysdrasill Happy to provide some quick thoughts on KLIC, especially since I’ve discussed this name significantly before.

KLIC got a new CEO who was brought on from the company Enovix. Because Enovix has not been successful these past few years, I was skeptical of the choice and reduced my position. However, I’ve been going back and forth now as the stock has gotten cheap and the industry is seeing big tailwinds.

Thanks WPR, that’s very helpful. I also think the stock got much cheaper because of the tailwinds they have; however I’m weary that they never get properly recognized by the market!
