You Don’t Have to Take Every Tax Deduction, and You Shouldn’t

I don’t know. Whenever I’m confronted with the morality of taking a tax deduction I qualify for, I ask myself, “What would Mitt Romney do?”

As Chairman of Bain Capital and a heralded innovator in the Private Equity space, Mitt loaded up companies with excessive debt, and then extracted outrageous management fees for his “expertise” while screwing the workers out of their jobs, pensions, and health insurance and driving the company into bankruptcy. All the while, getting tens of millions of dollars in tax breaks for doing so. And yet, Mitt Romney is regarded as one of the most moral, patriotic, and Christian men in the country.

Mitt never left any money on the table when it came to taxes and upholstering his bottom line. You probably shouldn’t either.
