This is really important step Zoom is taking to show that they are taking privacy seriously. That, along with starting up a development center in the US and potentially moving some of their software development away from China may placate US government and some of the critics out there. It will most likely get them banned in China as we have seen recently with them limiting new subscriptions to corporate customers only. I doubt that market has big revenue potential for them in the short to medium term anyway.
