A federal court has ruled that Trump’s attempt to freeze wind energy development nationwide was unlawful

That decision vacates his Day One directive that ordered federal agencies to halt all approvals for onshore and offshore wind projects indefinitely.

Trump’s directive didn’t just threaten clean energy goals. It threatened reliable and affordable power, thousands of union jobs, and billions already invested in infrastructure and workforce development. It even put at risk the progress being made on five offshore wind leases off California’s coast — projects designed to bring enough clean energy online to power 1.6 million homes.
