Not sure you have caught up with the story in South Australia of a new Tesla that was proabably hit by a meteorite. Not confirmed. The vet was driving home after he and his wife had collected their new Tesla. They were in self driving mode at about 110 km/hr. Shattered front wind screen and melted the glass.
The car drove on like nothing happened. Driver said there would have certainly been a major accident but the self driving mode meant the car did not veer.
