AIOCF: Equity financings and acquistions

In 2012, the company issued 4.13M shares at $6.40 per share for gross proceeds of $26.45M

On 5/13/2013, Avigilon acquired RedCloud Security for $17.3M (USD).

On 11/26/2013, Avigilon issued 2.86M shares at $24.10 per share for gross proceeds of $69M.

On 1/13/2014, Avigilon acquired VideoIQ for $32M (USD).

They still have a large cash balance and no debt so hopefully they won’t need to do another equity financing.

So Chris, is this why the stock is languishing now…dilution?

Mykie, They were as low as $17.27 on May 12th, little over a month ago. right now they are at $21.24. That’s up 23% in a month and a half from its bottom. Hardly languishing! (They hit the bottom because their CFO resigned because of ill-health and everyone worried there was something wrong).

Saul,

Geez, what a roundabout journey I have been on with AVO.TO.

First, I got into that changing currency saga which took me 2 chat sessions (and 4 tries to get the 2 chat sessions) to get rid of the $7K canadian loan IB gave me.

Then I find out they have priced my purchase in CAD whereas the last quoted price is in USD so I thought I lost 3 points per share. (Today, I traced the audit trail on the brokers site and discovered what I paid and in what currency.)

And today I found out they charged me $17 on top of commissions to convert (currency arbitrage gone badly).

I won’t buy any more stocks on a Canadian exchanges until I know what all the costs are going to be in advance. The funny thing is the last time I did this with EXETF, it went automatically onto the pink sheets (IB would not accept AIOCF) so none of this was necessary. I post this as a learning experience for anyone interested.
