Tucker Carlson was saying the leaker is a good guy.
Most of us are very sick of hearing how woke we are by Mr. Tucker Carlson. We are tired of the nonstop ignorance. There are problems we want solved. We want them solved now and we do not need ignorant points of view in the public discourse.
Not that I do not have friends thumping their chests and $crewing up the endlessly. Love seeing them and shooting the crapola with them.
Note it is not belief v science. It is stop pushing ignorance. Give that a break.

Sorry about that Packard. Wasn’t trying to cause a fight but was interested in the discussion. But it went off the rails with this statement.
Next time I will just ignore but it is funny how subjects get changed.

Am I against electrification? Hardly with Tesla and Enphase making up a large part of my portfolio, with wind and solar on my sailboat. Note “sailboat,” not a gas guzzling noisy motor yacht. The most horrible job on board was changing the oil of the diesel auxiliary engine.
Andy, I have nothing against clean air, clean water, clean earth, clean oceans, clean everything. My disagreement is with the politics of the Green Gang. In boarding school they tried to scare the living daylights out of kids with brimstone and hellfire, a good reason to become a non-believer. They want you to be a sheep to herd, a son or daughter to father, a sinner to convert, a domesticated animal to own and overlord. The evil is in the politics. Check the truck drivers in Canada, the farmers in the Netherlands. One step away from Xi and Putin.

Fortunately for us over here across the pond, during the last major federal election we elected to NOT go down the road of an authoritarian leader. So we’re now several steps away from a Xi or a Putin.
So tell me, exactly, how would we get the “politics” of human caused global warming out and what would YOU consider a “good” approach to the problem? Because all I hear from you are “politicians are evil!” and we must thwart them, even if they are right.

A perfect example of politics “getting in the way” is Germany right now. Germany generates energy in multiple ways - gas, coal, nuclear, etc. But politics (keeping the greens in the coalition to prevent the government from falling and causing new elections) dictated shutting down some nuclear before shutting down some coal. Meanwhile, the opposite would have been [way] better for reducing overall harmful emissions.

Well I did say smog and pollution which you replied with CO2 is plant food.
I know Captain that is why I turned the disagreement around. To many people arguing back and forth about Climate change yet when we start discussing clean everything all of a sudden we all agree. I can’t believe how many times this happens over everything we hear about. It’s not about listening anymore and coming up with solutions it’s about taking sides.

Just because I know there is a problem does not mean I have the solution, unfortunately. The best I can do is to try to get people to see the light, not easy to convert people.
Not all politicians are evil, but very few are angels. Of course, you would not vote for the ones I would vote for.

If you are saying, “they all lie” then you are correct in that I would not vote for who you would. Because that is the sure sign you can not tell who is not a liar and will only vote for a liar. The statement insists we have to vote for liars. That is not true there are honest people involved. You should not assume everyone is a liar.
People who believe this then have been completely gullible. The performance of the economy since 1981 has been fourth rate and yet some have thought that was extremely good for Americans as in America first.
For people who do not see “America First” as the kkkkkk slogan it is…Fox can lie openly and be completely believed.

Funny how he went from you mentioning “vaccines” (which as a whole REALLY DOES have near unanimous clarity on their effectiveness) and zero’d in on COVID-19. If there ever was a government response that was laser-focused on politics over science it was that. The one-term-twice-impeached-loser was bent on keeping the economy running full steam even at the cost of lives purely to support his re-election chances (and he lost anyway).

It’s the cult of “only tell me what I want to hear”. There was a discussion on Amanpour last night about the Fox suit: initially, Fox reported the election results accurately. The audience that Fox had groomed over the years abandoned Fox for other outlets, like Newsmax. Documents show there was a discussion among Fox honchos about the falling ratings, and the solution they arrived at was to tell viewers what they wanted to hear, instead of the truth, for the money that higher ratings brings.
The mob doesn’t want to be vaccinated. The mob doesn’t want to wear a mask. The mob doesn’t want to change the way it lives. Tell them covid is a hoax. Tell them masks are ineffective. Tell them covid will go away by itself, don’t need a vax. Tell them “Florida man” has proven a cheap and effective cure, so no need to be concerned about covid.

Fox has been that way since Day One. It was never about “fair and balanced” any more than Elon buying Twitter about “free speech”. FOX and talk radio created a monster, and after 2+ decades they have lost control of that monster. But this pretty much sums up their attitude.

Would not surprise me if the entire chain of command of the 102 Intel Wing is fired - or encouraged to retire. When a unit is effectively decommission from their job, that is usually career-ending for all those involved.
