Anyone use a CPA?

In my past life - I owned a company or two - and my CPA’s sort of did my taxes - just because. Now, in somewhat early retirement that perk is gone.

Curious if anyone here has a few rental properties - if you have CPA - what do they charge you?

I’d get someone to do my taxes - top to bottom.

Thanks

State & Federal around $550, Schedules 1, B, D, E, forms 1040, 4562, 8582, 8879, 8949. 8995.

Actually use 2 CPAs.

One does my rental properties filings/returns which cover a vacation condo, a multi-unit trailer park, and a storage facility. Plus, they are local (we live in a different state) to my biggest rental property and they come in and check monthly on the books that my manager keeps.

One does our personal return. Our personal return is complicated because it now involves 4 states primarily because of DW’s business holdings.

Rental CPA charges about $2000/year and personal CPA is around $2500/year.

JLC, very nice of you to share, it’s helpful information as I seek someone out.

I had budgeted $2500/year, seems I may come in higher.
